This year’s theme, “Textiles and Travel,” invites our speakers to share summer experiences through a textile lens.

Join Textile Arts LA for our Spring 2025 Textile Slam! Artists, designers, authors, curators, and students will share quick insights into their work, process, and intentions.
Slam! is an informal, community-oriented opportunity to be impressed or intrigued, to see something new or to celebrate the work of familiar friends. The Spring SLAM’s broad theme is FASHION.

Textile Slam! is Textile Arts LA’s semi-regular opportunity for casual, friendly conversation and networking featuring a rotating slate of presenters, each of whom will deliver an informal six-minute pecha kucha-stvle presentation. The Slam! is a variation on a member-meeting, but open to non-member friends and guests to add a spark of the unexpected.

The last Slam! of the season will feature 6 recent graduates of fashion and design programs from around Los Angeles. Their work is eclectic, diverse and creative.
