Textile Arts LA is collaborating with Craft Contemporary to bring you a series of Surface Design Workshops this summer.
In a three-part workshop series, learn to create pattern and texture through the processes of discharge dyeing, ice dyeing and direct hand applications. Mark-making in surface design allows artists and designers to express their creativity, create unique visual narratives, and infuse surfaces with character, texture, and meaning. The choice of mark-making techniques often depends on the desired aesthetic, the material being worked with, and the intended application or product.
Workshops can be taken individually or as part of a series. All materials are included in the fee.
