Studio Visit with Echiko Ohira

At the core of Echiko Ohira’s practice is paper; Folded, torn, painted, layered, stained, delicately manipulated and rearranged. Through sheer repetition, she creates a structure that can expand either infinitely outward or inwards, evoking both microcosms and macrocosms. ⁣⁣We visited Exhiko Ohhira at her studio to learn more about about the processes and ideas behind her elaborate paper works. ⁣
