Ruben & Isabel Toledo: Labor of Love at Detroit Institute of Arts

Labor of Love, featuring new work by artists Ruben and Isabel Toleda at the Detroit Institute of Arts, will be on view through July 7, 2019. This exhibition honors Detroit’s history of industry, modernization and the DIA’s vast permanent collection. The Toledos drew from DIA’s world-class collection as inspiration for the sculptures, paintings, drawings and installations, which are paired with the works that inspired their conception. Labor of Love provides a unique experience of discovery while the Toledo works are interspersed across numerous collection galleries.
