El Anatsui Retrospective at Haus der Kunst

An article in Frieze covered the current retrospective of El Anatsui at Haus der Kunst: El Anatsui, Triumphant Scale. There are several new works - created in 2019! - included in this exhibition. One of which is Second Wave, an installation that incorporates offset printing plates from a Bavarian newspaper. This is Anatsui’s largest work to date. Other work on view includes bottle-cap tapestries that Anatsui is known for.
