Measures of Constriction at K.OSS Contemporary Art

Measures of Constriction features Detroit fiber artist Annica Cuppetelli at K.OSS Contemporary art. The exhibition addresses a long-running theme in Cuppetelli’s work regarding the intervention of fashion on the female body. Borrowing techniques and materials from garment construction, Cuppetelli creates forms that evoke fashion but instead function as sculpture and interact primarily with space. The use of boning and basketry techniques reference female labor and tradition.

Exhibition is on view through March 2, 2019. More info can be found here.
