Contemporary Quilts in Western India Exhibition

The International Quilt Study Center and Museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be opening a new exhibition featuring West Indian quilts. Representing a wide range of geographical, ethnic, and social groups, each quilt tells the stories of their makers. The exhibition includes a group of quiltmakers from villages all across the western Indian states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Collecting and Recollecting: Contemporary Quilts in Western India opens on February 22 through July 14, 2019.
