TALA member Izzy Morrison of Waverly Linens invites you to Table Manners, a free natural dye workshop and group exhibition bringing together local artists to explore what happens when seemingly opposing forces come together.
The table is both a physical object and a social stage: a place where we gather, negotiate, celebrate, perform, belong, and sometimes break the rules. Artists were invited to interpret the theme broadly, from the rituals of dining and domestic life to larger social, cultural, and personal systems.
Join us for a free, collaborative natural dye workshop where we’ll paint on a 12-foot naturally dyed table runner while exploring the colors and possibilities of natural dye. Each person will leave with their own experimental fabric as well. Learn about how to modify colors, come get your hands a little colorful, experiment, and add your own mark to the table.
Enjoy works from local artists, including TALA member Carrie Burckle, and nibbles and treats.
