The [Untold] Story of Craft

  • Craft Contemporary 5814 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90036 United States (map)

Exhibitions as chapters of a book? Join Senior Curator Frida Cano in a conversation about Craft Contemporary’s current curatorial vision titled “The [Untold] Story of Craft.
Through a series of conversations about our past, present, and future exhibitions, we will share the storytelling aspect of pairing craft with the elements of air, earth, and fire for the conception and production of the exhibitions Ether: Aromatic Mythologies, tierra, and Vandalismo Artesanal, respectively. Through this lens, all of Craft Contemporary’s exhibitions are now seen as chapters of books, the first one being ‘On Healing.’

In addition to the talk, participants are welcome to join us for a drop in exploration of simple book binding techniques, where the museum brochures will be turned into catalogs that compile two of the three exhibitions listed above.
