Join Japan House for a special evening showcasing “Journey to Japan,” the new collection by award-winning American fashion designer Kevan Hall. For his latest designs, he sought inspiration in the quiet studios of Japanese master artisans. In collaboration with Japan Airlines, Hall set out on an extraordinary journey to Tokyo, Kagawa and Tokushima, and learned traditions like Suminagashi marbling, Kintsugi repair, and indigo dyeing firsthand from families who have preserved these crafts across generations. Each garment in his Fall/Winter 2025 collection was inspired by this trip and the textures, colors, and stories he encountered along the way.
This exclusive event offers a behind-the-scenes look at Hall’s creative process, beginning with a 15-minute film that captures his travels and discoveries. Following the screening, Hall will be joined by fashion editor and author Booth Moore for a conversation exploring the intersection of craft and contemporary fashion. Guests will also have the opportunity to view select pieces from the collection displayed alongside their original sketches, and enjoy a networking reception featuring a few Japanese bites.
