Intro to Punch Needle Rug Hooking

  • Punch Needle World 122 East 7th Street Los Angeles, CA, 90014 United States (map)

In this 4  hour workshop with TALA member Micah Clasper-Torch, you will learn all the ins and outs of punch needle rug  hooking: stretching your monkscloth on a gripper frame, selecting your  yarn, best practices for using your punch needle, troubleshooting,  hemming and finishing your work -- along with a whole bunch of tips and  tricks along the way.  This is the perfect class for beginners, or  those who have tried punch needle on their own but are looking for more  in-depth guidance on technique.  You'll come away from this class  with a small coaster (mug rug!) in a design of your choice -- and the  knowledge to create future pieces of any size!
