Interwoven: Three Artists’ Journeys in Paper and Cloth

  • Tom Wudl Studio 423 Molino St. Los Angeles CA 90013 (map)

Three artists begin with paper and cloth before branching off into different directions. Although their paths differ, all share a belief in the versatility these simple materials offer in making powerful art. This is a one-day pop-up exhibition.
Flora Golden begins with realistic images which often glide into the world of fantasy; she uses leather strips, paper, and paint to create her imaginative compositions.
Using paper, paint, cloth and embroidery, TALA member Kristin Meuser imagines life-size installations of childhood dolls coupled with wild animals that voice the dolls’ strength and emotions.
Suzanne DeCuir makes narrative works related to her ancestral history as well as large paper and cloth installations that explore both the sacred and the ineffable.
