Join Able ARTS Work Gallery in an exploration of the softer side of art and material in Conversation Pit.
Conversation Pits were an architectural oddity created with the idea to bring people together for entertainment, parties, games, and most importantly conversation. The art in this exhibition is reminiscent of this concept, a meeting place of material and craft meant to stimulate the senses and mind, bringing people together through conversation.
What’s this all about, what’s that made of, why does this look like that, how did they make that, are some of the questions we hope Conversation Pit evokes in the viewer. This exhibition attempts to demystify the broad mediums of textiles and fabrics by representing them in all their forms and used by artists from around the world and of all abilities.
