Beginner/intermediate level basketry class with Mary Price, The Wanderlust Weaver. You will learn to create two baskets.
Morning – Mini Oval
Level: Beginner
Learn starting spokes on a wood base, continuous over under weave, how to create a folded matchstick rim, & color options.
Afternoon – Chocolate Swirl
Level: Intermediate
Learn setting up spokes on a slotted wood base, double triple twine with a focus on shaping, four rod wale and a traditional lashed rim.
Price covers class fee, teacher expenses and materials.
Tools to bring: sharp scissors for cutting reed, pencil, soft measuring tape, old towel, straight tip tool (looks like a flat head screwdriver), bent tip packing tool (instructor will have tools available for purchase), small plastic quilting clips (available for purchase from instructor), larger clips such as clothespins, and water spray bottle.
