Artist Talk: Leigh Wishner on weaver Dorothy Liebes; her Fashion and Hollywood Connection

Leigh Wishner is a design historian specializing in modern textiles and fashion. You may know her through her engaging Instagram as @PatternPlayUSA.

We are super excited to have Wishner talk about Dorothy Liebes, the renowned textile designer and weaver on the occasion of Liebes’s birthday, October 14th. The Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum is currently exhibiting Liebes’ work through February 4, 2024. Wishner contributed her expertise on Liebes by writing an essay for the exhibition’s publication, A Dark, A Light, A Bright, the Designs of Dorothy Liebes.

Wishner will focus her talk on Liebes’ Fashion and connections to Hollywood.
