Faith Ringgold at the Serpentine Gallery in London

Faith Ringgold’s retrospective at the Serpentine Gallery is her first exhibition in a European institution. Ringgold challenges the perceptions of African American identity and gender inequality through her work, and this survey features the different series she has created over the past five decades. She is widely recognized for her politically charged paintings, story quilts, protest posters, children’s books, and as an influential art educator.

This exhibition will be on view until September 8, 2019. More information and exhibition photos can be found here.
