Rina Banerjee: Make Me a Summary of the World

Rina Banerjee: Make Me a Summary of the World is the first comprehensive exploration of Rina Banerjee’s practice. Co-organized by Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) and the San José Museum of Art (SJMA), the exhibition will travel to several institutions.

Known for large-scale sculptures and installations made from various materials sourced throughout the world, Banerjee’s work investigates identity, tradition and culture. Assembling different materials, from African tribal jewelry to feathers, light bulbs, and Murano glass, Banerjee’s work is thought-provoking and diverse.

Currently on view at PAFA until March 31, 2019.

Exhibition schedule includes a stop at the Fowler Museum here in L.A., from December 8, 2019 through May 31, 2020. More information, including the full list of venues and programming can be found here.
