Tanya Aguiñiga: Craft & Care at MAD Museum

L.A. - based artist and designer Tanya Aguiñiga has a beautiful and striking exhibition at the MAD Museum, on view through October 2, 2018. The heart of her practice is about how community is created, and how craft, design, and materiality play in its formation.

There is a large installation of AMBOS works, including “Border Quipu / Quipu Fronterizo”, Aguiñiga’s performance piece “Grapple”, and photographic documentation. Other works highlight design and craft, showing a comprehensive view of Aguiñiga’s ouevre.
