Crochet as Construction: Furniture Design

Our friends at Interiors&Sources magazine attended Salone in Milan – and discovered that crochet has graduated to the big leagues. Italian furniture brand Neo has hand-knotted and crocheted neoprene into baskets and poufs. Utilizing various stitch patterns and neoprene gauges, the baskets hold shape while providing a bit of flexibility.

One product that stole the show: a massive pouf able to comfortably hold four adults. Perfect for waiting spaces or shaded outdoor lounge spots. I'm still looking for a photo!
