Meet the 2018 Windgate Fellows

Each year, the Center for Craft awards ten graduating college seniors with the Windgate Fellowship and $15,000 toward their practice (one of the largest awards offered nationally to students). These emerging artists represent a skilled and motivated next generation for craft.

Four panelists reviewed a national pool of 99 nominated applicants, selecting 10 for the Fellowship, including:

Eric Meeker, Rochester Institute of Technology, Glass
Hannah Mullen, Parsons, The New School of Design, Sculpture/Puppet Making
Casey Newberg, Kendall College of Art and Design, Jewelry/Metalsmithing
Elizabeth Phillips, Maryland Institute College of Art, Fiber/Textiles
Justin Seow, Rhode Island School of Design, Wood/Furniture
