Claudia Parducci’s second solo exhibition with Ochi Projects features twenty-three, 16’ hand-knit jute pillars spanning from floor to ceiling. The columns reference the Parthenon’s own that surround the monumental statue of Athena (goddess of weaving). Over two years, Parducci knit the columns and mediated on the gendered aspects of labor and the symbolic significance of the physical remnants of Western history.
Exhibition is on view through April 27. More information and images can be found here.
