Many of you know Ruth Souza has been hosting mending circles and sharing her philosophies on the spiritual and creative power of mending and repair. At her last *soldout* session she encouraged people to start their own circles . . . I suppose spreading the word is one of the operative purposes of a mending group. So in that spirit of mending collectives, council circles, and our common need to slow down, connect, and engage our hands and our hearts, our friends at Akogare Trading Co are launching their first Make Your Mark: A Circle.
The remit is a bit broader: you are invited to devote this time to any work of the hand: embroidery, knitting or crochet, mending, knotting, journaling, origami, beading – whatever is portable and delights you. Please bring your own project and materials. We'll supply the space, the company, and light refreshments.
Open to all. The $10 class fee signals your commitment and will pay for refreshments.
