Nari Ward: We the People at The New Museum

The New Museum in NY is currently exhibiting the first museum survey of Nari Ward’s work. We the People features over thirty sculptures, paintings, videos, and large-scale installations from throughout Ward’s twenty-five-year career. As one of the most influential sculptors working today, Ward’s approach to art includes a variety of folk traditions and creative recycling ideas from Jamaica (his birthplace).

This exhibition demonstrates Ward’s status as a key bridge between generations of American sculptors. On view through May 26th.
