Knitting the Endangered: Exhibition at the Hunterdon Art Museum

Ruth Marshall’s knitted works feature endangered species and are currently on view at the Hunterdon Art Museum until April 28th. The creatures are inspired by her work at the Bronx Zoo as an exhibition sculptor for 14 years. Marshall’s work has been widely covered in the press and exhibited at MASS art in Boston, the MAD museum and The Textile Museum in Washington, DC. There will be a workshop on March 30th where Marshall will teach how to knit with plarn (plastic yarn made from plastic bags) and participants will create their own market bag.

More information and images of the exhibition can be found here.
