ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a photographer who fell down the rabbit hole of eco printing and dyeing fabric. I began sewing in earnest several years ago when the fabric of a linen dress I loved wore thin after so much use. A friend helped make a pattern from the dress and I began sewing dresses. That led me to dyeing fabric using indigo and shibori techniques which led to dyeing using leaves and flowers. I am thrilled to have my dresses and scarves on display and for sale at Freehand Gallery, one of my favorite stores in Los Angeles. I'm honored to be in the company of such talented and creative artists at a store that celebrates artisans.

I love creating and celebrating handwork and nature. In such troubling times, it gives me moments of peace and joy.
