The library @ARTSgarage began as an accidental archive of more than twenty-five years of periodicals and books on textiles, art, design, creativity, innovation, education and more. This reference library is open to all who are interested in browsing the shelves, and is available by appointment only.

The reference library contains over one thousand books and videos and is free to the public.

The Mr. and Mrs. Allan C. Balch Art Research Library at LACMA maintains an extensive, non-circulating collection of research-level materials that support the museum’s collections and programming. The library holds over 200,000 monographs, exhibition catalogs, journals, periodicals, reference resources, and current auction catalogs, as well as a growing collection of art ephemera files.

The FIDM Library is one of the largest specialized fashion libraries in the United States. Besides its vast collection of books, periodicals, and trade publications, the Library is noted for its Textile Design & Research and Textile & Materials rooms, both of which give students exclusive access to materials and industry resources.
