Kilims of Anatolia at The Textile Museum at GW

The Textile Museum at GW in Washington, D.C. is opening a new exhibition on September 1, 2018 featuring Anatolian kilims. These kilims were woven by women to adorn tents and camel caravans, an important part of preserving Turkey's nomadic culture. The exhibition marks the public debut of the Murad Megalli collection of these eighteenth and nineteenth century kilims.

A Nomad's Art: Kilims of Anatolia will be on view through December 23, 2018. More information can be found here.
