The annual Frieze Writer’s Prize recognizes emerging writers dedicated to new, imaginative writing about art and culture. The winner of the prize is commissioned to write a review for Frieze and awarded £2,000.

Recharge Foundation Fellowship for New Surrealist Art

The Recharge Foundation Fellowship for New Surrealist Art offers a $5,000 award for painters living in the United States and U.S. Territories who are working in the New Surrealist style.

SAADA Archival Creators Fellowship

Deadline: August 12, 2019

Fellows will partner with SAADA to create archival collections that reflect the histories and perspectives of the most marginalized groups within the South Asian American community. The program offers each fellow a $8,000 stipend, a $2,000 project budget, and a $1,000 event budget.

Hunter East Harlem Gallery

Hunter East Harlem Gallery has an open call for a group exhibition for artists in possession of or in the process of obtaining O-1 visas. As a part of the show, artists will receive a $450 honorarium, and they can list the exhibition on their CVs to qualify for the Visa through the US Government.

Schloss Bröllin Residence Program
Fahrenwalde, Germany
Deadline: August 15, 2019

International artist groups are welcome to apply for the residency for the production of dance, theater, circus, and performance projects up to a maximum of three weeks. The program offers full board for the group of artists, travel expenses subsidy, and a public presentation of the project at the end of the production period.

The CrossCurrents Fund
Deadline: August 21, 2019

The CrossCurrents Fund supports interactive, short, or feature-length documentary projects made by filmmakers from, and telling the stories of, underrepresented and marginalized communities from around the world. Project funding support will include $10,000 CAD for one short or interactive film and up to $30,000 CAD for up to three feature films.

Aesthetic Art Prize

The Aesthetic Art Prize offers both emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience and further their engagement with the international art world. Awardees will receive £1,000 to £5,000 in prize money, publication in the Future Now Annual, and an opportunity take part in a group exhibition.

Bemis residency opportunities are open to national and international artists showing a strong professional working history. In addition to studio spaces, artists will have access to Bemis Center’s main facility and the Okada Sculpture & Ceramics Facility, a large-scale sculpture fabrication space and workshop.

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers Emergency Grants between $200 and $2,500 for visual and performing artists. They review applications once a month, so you can quickly take advantage of momentum or solve any budget errors.
