Adult Weaving at LACMA

  • Los Angeles County Museum of Art 5905 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90036 United States (map)

Learn to weave using a small loom. Taught by Textile Arts LA member Connie Rohman.

Connie Rohman (she/her) is a Los Angeles–based textile artist. She grew up in a remote Quaker community adjacent to the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia, Canada, where she became interested in textiles as a young child. She studied linguistics in college. Many of her abstract works are based in her fascination with language and her childhood connection to nature. Connie has exhibited in museums, art galleries, and international exhibitions. She has worked both as a curator and as a juror for several textile art exhibitions. She is a member of SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) and SDA (Surface Design Association).
