This is a sequel workshop to the Foundations of Weaving with Kate Kilmurray showcasing the next steps in developing your weaving work on a small loom. In this two-hour workshop we’ll move beyond plain weave to explore a variety of techniques, including making and weaving with sock loops, split-loop weaving, floaters, and double-strand weaving. Kate will also talk about how to do a continuous weave with T-shirt yarn. These methods add texture, structure, and visual interest while building confidence on the loom.
This is a hands-on class that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and play. Perfect for those who are comfortable with the basic weaving skills and are ready to expand their techniques, this workshop is for weavers who have completed a beginner class and are ready to take the next step.
