Join artist Liv Aanrud for a three-session weekly punch needle embroidery class this fall-- designed to introduce students to both the technical foundations and creative possibilities of this versatile textile medium.
Participants will explore the historical roots and contemporary context of punch needle while developing hands-on skills in technique, texture, and composition. The course will also cover facial proportions and portrait design, guiding students in translating features into textile form. Through thoughtful experimentation and the incorporation of personal design elements, students will create a finished artwork that tells a meaningful visual story.
