In this 4 session course, artist Malavika Rao invites students into the slow and thoughtful practice of quilting.
Students will explore patchwork, appliqué, and surface design through a mix of guided demos and personal experimentation, culminating in a completed quilted piece.
Together, we will reflect on quilting’s deep histories of care, resistance, and community. Each participant will create a small quilted work through a process of experimentation and shared learning—moving at their own pace, in good company.
