Northern Chumash artist Leah Mata Fragua will lead this hand made paper workshops using materials found in nature.
This workshop is a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature. Hand making paper is a sensory experience with textures, sounds and scents. Disconnect from the modern work and engage in this ancient rhythmic craft of paper making. Working materials from nature into the pulp makes each page a unique meditation on the land and our connection with place and time.
Paper making is a function art, with the created paper ideal for calligraphy, bookbinding, journaling, or even planted directly into the soil to grow wildflowers.
