Kate Kilmurray announces Natural Dyeing for Potholder Weavers, a special three-day course, led by instructor Allie Feldman of Rooted Botanics. Taking place over three consecutive Sundays, this hands-on in-person workshop will cover the fundamentals of natural dyeing, allowing you to learn about a variety of plant-based dyes over an extended period.
The relaxed schedule gives you ample time to fully immerse yourself in each step of the dyeing process, while enjoying the camaraderie of a small, supportive group of fellow weavers. Each student will be given a custom Rooted Botanics Journal to take notes.
Whether you're new to dyeing or looking to expand your creative skills, this course is a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of natural color, connect with others, and leave with beautifully hand-dyed loops for potholder weaving. Come join us for an enriching, creative experience!
Cost:
$300 per person.
The price does not include 40 white loops for indigo dyeing and two completed white weavings for eco-printing. Participants will need to bring these materials to the first class. See link below for resource.
All classes will take place at the Rooted Botanics Studio in Ojai, CA.
The full address will be given in advance of the course.
