Are you interested in the art of embellishing and mending textiles by hand? Join us for a special session with Debra Weiss, textile artist and slow stitching master. Needle-weaving not only provides an efficient means to adorn fabrics with colors and patterns, but it also serves as an excellent method for mending.
Learn the ins and outs of this useful technique, plus a few tricks to create pattern and design. We will work with a small piece of fabric about 8" x 10", such as linen or cotton, in a neutral color, as well as embroidery thread, a needle, scissors, a heat erasable pen, and if you would like, an embroidery hoop.
Debra will be sending you digitally an image so we can all start on common ground.
All levels are welcome and no prior experience is required. There will be plenty of time to share, get feedback and meet other participants from around the world.
