Jungle Installation: Annli Tico

  • Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station 1020 East Palmer Avenue Glendale, CA, 91205 United States (map)

Jungle, a fiber art installation by Annli Tico is inside the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station. It is made of lightweight textiles and yarn hung from the ceiling. The piece creates a jungle-like environment within the gas station resulting in a colorful and dynamic view from all four sides. Tico’s work spans multiple mediums and focuses largely on location, taking special interest in the expansiveness and intricate details of the natural world. Using pattern, repetition, and abstraction of shape, she creates work that captures the broadness of nature in a way that is playful and inviting to viewers. Tico often uses textiles and found materials to capture nature’s softness, fluidity, color, and vibrancy.
