360 Xochi Quetzal Artist and Writers Residency has joined forces with the historic Villa QQ, a boutique Hotel located in Chapala on a magnificent property just a few steps from Lake Chapala. The Villa QQ (previously known as Quinta Quetzalcoatl Bed & Breakfast) is a 1920s National Cultural Heritage site was remodeled by the famous Mexican architect Luis Barragán.

There are six live/work spaces that are available for resident artists and writers. All residents will have access to the swimming pool and hot tub, the botanical gardens and the new Chatterley’s Restaurant on the premises.

Joining with the Villa QQ makes sense since the property has long been a mecca for artists and writers. DH Lawrence, the English poet and novelist was inspired to write “The Plumed Serpent” on these grounds. American artist Rob MacNicol also owned the property in the 1950s.

The beauty, tranquility and amenities make this an ideal environment for anyone who needs to recharge or dig into their work. Needless to say, there is great creative energy at the Villa QQ!
