Transforming Perception through Movement

  • online via Zoom, Pacific Time (map)

We asked Annie to come up with a special workshop-movement session for LATM. And wow did she deliver.

This is the first time in awhile that Annie will be teaching a workshop. It’s a generative practice and conversation that bridges art making (and particularly very physical forms of art making like textile work) and movement to tap in to the possibilities of perception. “I’m as excited as anyone to see what actually happens,” shares Annie. Us too!

You can sign up here. No movement or art experience required. This is a movement practice aimed at finding, recognizing, and shifting our awareness of how we perceive sensation in the body, and connecting those patterns to textile arts practices.

We will breathe, move (gently), process, and develop ideas to take back to our sketchbooks, journals, and studios.

Cost: $25 public / $20 for Textile Arts LA Members (use the coupon code TALAMEMBER for member price)
