The Escondido Arts Partnership invites artists to submit traditional, innovative, functional and non-functional works of textile and book arts to this juried show. Sculptural Works, vessel forms/basketry, installations, clothing and more using materials such papers, felting, fabrics, yarn, and organic materials.
JUROR:
Kathryn Harris has been involved in the fiber field for over 40 years, previously working at The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She holds an MFA degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing and her sculptural fiber work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. She headed the Fiber Studies program in the Department of Art, Design & Art History at San Diego State University, teaching classes in Fiber Construction and Surface Design for 9 years. Because of her love of teaching, she offers workshops and lectures on many different aspects of the fiber field. She resides in San Diego, California, USA.
ELIGIBILITY
You may submit if you’re a So Cal Artist or EAP Member and your original work of art was made in the past 2 years.
ENTRY FEE
EAP Member: $20 for one, additional $5 for each piece
Non-members: $30 for one, additional $5 for each piece *Entry fees are non-refundable.
