Unraveling Collective Forms at LACE

Current exhibition at LACE in Hollywood features a group of artists identifying their diverse voices and common threads, patterns, and processes, as well as their differences. Unraveling Collective Forms references the use of a quipu, the Quechua term for talking knots, to knot artistic reflections together that involve collectivity, autonomy, and group manifestations that crack systems.The exhibition and programming look to create a space to gather, remember, learn and connect with audience in a common thread.

Artists include Tanya Aguiñiga, Holland Andrews, Julia Bogany, Carolina Caycedo, Tania Candiani, Patrisse Cullors, Demian DinéYazhi’, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice, Mercedes Dorame, Jorge González and Mónica Rodríguez, Harry Gamboa Jr., Jeannette Ehlers, Arshia Fatima Haq, Sky Hopinka, Israel Martínez, Sayak Valencia and Kim Zumpfe.
