A Colorful Life: Gere Kavanaugh, Designer L.A. Book signings

Gere Kavanaugh epitomized the craft and folk vibe of the ‘60s and ‘70s California design scene. Kavanaugh was the third woman to earn a degree in Cranbrook Academy of Art’s design program, and was a director of interiors for Victor Gruen’s architecture and planning firm. She later opened Gere Kavanaugh/Designs and continued designing with her influential eye for color and handcraft.
