Heavenly Bodies exhibition at The Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring costume exhibition, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, will be on view through October 8, 2018.  Featuring designer pieces and medieval art from The Met collection, both components of the exhibition examine fashion's ongoing engagement with the practices and traditions of Catholicism.

Many of the papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy - many have never been seen outside the Vatican! - will be on view in the Anna Wintour Costume Center. Other fashions from the early twentieth century to the present are in the Byzantine and medieval galleries.

More information about the exhibition and The Met can be found here.
