Sedimentations: Assemblage as Social Repair exhibition at The 8th Floor

The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation has pulled together a special exhibition, Sedimentations: Assemblage as Social Repair, for their gallery space, The 8th Floor in NYC. Artists include: El Anatsui, Maren Hassinger, Elana Herzog, Samuel Levi Jones, among others. Incorporating found and repurposed materials, the work in this exhibition ranges from assemblage to distinct objects. The works are embedded with cultural heritage and preservation, spiritual engagement, and—most importantly—social responsibility regarding the cycles of creation, consumption, and waste.

Sedimentations is on view through December 8, 2018 at The 8th Floor. More information about the exhibition can be found here.
